GP Sachsenring 2008 I. qualifying
Sachsenring is known for its unpredictable weather. Today it was sultry and hot at the circuit not far from German town called Chemnitz. The same stifling atmosphere prevailed in Abaja’s team after finishing the first qualifying training. “The weather forecast warns against Saturday rain. On the basis of this information I must enter the qualifying with all my efforts…” Abaja was preparing himself for his performance in this way. “I was riding well within the first 30 minutes. I managed to catch on Ayoma, I was riding with Pasini for a while. But then riding in the pit and changing of tyres followed. I was riding around the 16th rank. But I made a lot of mistakes and it was the reason why I lost another rank. I’m not satisfied, I also feel bad about it on account of mechanics who do their best to reach good results.”
