In the tropical heat Karel Abraham rode fourteenth time in the first free practice
Riders have received free training while on a beautiful sunny weather but around 37 degrees. Karel Abraham rode twenty laps and the best time - 1:49,216 ranked in the nineteenth lap. He was just less than eight tenths of a second slower than the winner Spaniard Elias, but in balanced the top ten in this field it was not enough yet. In the first second there were the first eighteen riders of Moto2 class.
Karel Abraham said after free practice:
" It was very challenging in this heat today. Moreover, in Barcelona, the field of riders got balanced once again and every tenth of a seconds is immediately shown. I rode my best time himself and the others times were almost comparable, so I'm happy with the begining. On Saturday, when we expect the qualification, I must accelerate. We modified so many things on the bike today and we tested the front and rear tires. I had enough trouble with a front part which was closing and opening again in the fast corners. It was uncomfortable, but hopefully we have solved it. Today, the hand didn´t sore me while I was riding already.
