Karel Abraham finished seventeenth in Mugello
Karel started for the second time in a race Moto2 class with the FTR motorcycle in Mugello. In He rode the 20. time in qualification on Saturday and that this was his best finish in a battle for position in the start, and he stood in the fifth row. In a crowd of forty riders in the first corner fell down to 27th position, but then began to slowly proceed forward. After half of the race he got into the top twenty and attacked again. In conclusion, he even overtook the experienced Italian Robert Rolf and went to 17th place. To the last place (with points) where the rode Spaniard Fons Nieto, it was too far away. In the end Karel fell behind Nieto by five seconds.
Karel Abraham said at the finish:
" After two races, when I ended up following the collapse on the country, I got to the finish, but of course I can not be satisfied. For the seventeenth place from the top it is not for receiving points. The I rode my best result in qualification in Mugello, but if I want to earn points, I have to be so much better at the begining. Today I started in mid-field but then I dropped by about seven places in the first corner. It was a huge crush again , and after two falls, I was still cautious. Then it was not completely wrong, I proceeded forward, even when the front wheel were "bouncing" and then I had to fight a lot. What surely helped me was an interview with Alex Debonem in Mugello. He rides with the FTR too, but we have to speak about that next time even more. "
