Karel Abraham had a great finish in Jerez
On Monday afternoon, the weather lasted well in Jerez, so most of forty riders Moto2 improved their times gradually. The first sixteen riders lined up with their times in one second. The team Cardion AB worked hard and it was succesfull . Karel Abraham had no problems with the front wheel anymore, even though he had a reserve on a top speed. He rode his best time 1:44,291 around 2 p.m. Pity that the good weather did not last even a little longer because Kaja was really good. When he attacked the time around 1:44 again it started raining and he had to go to the pits. Unfortunately, the rain did not stop so the team finished test sooner than they originally planned. But much better mood ruled in the pits than during the first two days. Compared to Saturday, third best time and the acceleration more than two seconds is a huge encouragement before the start of the World Motorcycle Championship. Karel is coming back from Jerez on Tuesday. On Tuesday 6th April he will go for the first race which will be on 11th April in Qatar.
Karel Abraham said after the tests in Jerez:
"Finally I am happy. Fortunately, good weather lasted until afternoon and I could improve gradually, because the changes of settings on motorcycle RSV was really good in Jerez. We tried a lot of things again, but mainly the suspension has been resolved, so even I lost some time on the straights in top speed, I was able to accelerate. I rode the best time about 2 o´clock in the afternoon. Then I was opened up well once again, but it started to rain. The weather did not get better, so we stopped testing. I am leaving to Qatar in a better mood than after the first day in Jerez. On Sunday, it was better, but finally I was satisfied with the motorcycle on Monday. But we still have a lot of improving. First and foremost will be the aerodynamics to not wasting the time on a straights. "
