Karel Abraham had paid for a problem of engine in the last lap

Class Moto2 launched time of the Grand Prix, in view of the hourly time change in the British Isles to the rest of the continent, so the MotoGP royal class could start at the traditional time. Karel Abraham ensured himself the start in fourth row in Saturday's qualification and he wanted to try to use this best result on Sunday race also. But in the morning warm up came the technical problems. The official Honda 600 engine, when you did gear up five and six, did not behave normally again and also electronics stopped working. But the request for change of engine was not accepted. Geo Technology, which looks after the official Honda 600 engines, only exchanged electronics. Karel so took the start, knowing that the question is whether the target will reach or not. In the first half, it looked good. But then the engine started to leak oil which is sprayed on the rear wheel and Karel had struggled to maintain even a motorcycle. Yet he moved around the seventeenth position. Even in the penultimate lap he was right after Todd and Gadea, but he did not already touch the point. In corners he got highsider, after there finished Baldolini and Hernandez it appears to oil stains from his engine and and even before Talmacsi did the same. In the fall, Karel unfortunately broke his wrist. Whether he will start next week in Assen is now a question.

Karel Abraham said after the race:
"It's unfortunate, third culpable fall in this season. While up to half of the race, it looked pretty good. I rode around the seventeenth place and stayed in a group, where rider Elias was also leading the championship. But then I started to slide the leg from footrest and badly geared up. At that point oil had leaked out from the engine and sprayed on the rear wheel, which slid mainly in the left corners. I tried to reach, but in the last lap I got highsider. Many riders fell off together with me there, apparently on oil that escaped from my engine. Talamacsi, who ended up there on the floor the lap before was angry, but we have alerted on a problems with the engine after the warm up. The engine is sealed, nothing we can do with it, we can only apply for a replacement. But they refused that. In doing so, we put engine back after Silverstone and we will get a new one. Unfortunately I broke my wrist in a place where I have it bolted together from last year. After the race, I went to investigate to the mobile clinic to Dr. Costa, and he said it was not for surgery and that we will see next week. So we leave Silverstone straight to Assen, but if I start next Saturday, it remains to be seen. "
