Karel Abraham has accelerated significantly in qualification, but he had a fall in the finish

The fight for position in the start of Moto2 was even harder in Le Mans than the previous GP in Jerez. While there were twenty riders in one second on Spanish soil,  in Le Mans it was twenty seven of them. Karel Abraham, who just before leaving for France changed the motorcycle for the British machine FTR, was almost two seconds faster on Saturday, but for more pronounced shift to forward, it still was not enough. Two crashes also slowed him down. The first came in the morning free practice and the other in the final round of qualification.

Karel Abraham said after qualification:
" I regret the fall in the very end of Saturday's qualification. I had a good ride. Since Saturday morning, we made a lot of changes on a new bike, but we are still waiting for more. FTR machine is now behaving well, it certainly is better than the RSV, but I have to get used to it. And it takes some time. I am looking forward to Sunday's race, the atmosphere is great and I'll have a lot of fans because the bus with members of my fun club is already in Le Mans. "
