Karel Abraham has improved in qualification again
Cold and cloudy weather welcomed the riders at Silverstone on Saturday, but on the difference from Friday even a drop of water did not fall to the track. Karel Abraham, who rode on water in the first free practice with fourth best time in the morning, had problems with motorcycle FTR in the second free practice. After twenty five minutes, the motorcycle stopped. Fortunately it was only a few meters away from pit boxes. After the correction, Karel returned to the track, but this time the machine stopped right after two rounds, and on the other side from the boxes at circuit. Before mechanics could take care of the motorcycle, it was the end of the practice. Subsequent inspection showed that the contact of cable from the battery was damaged. In the afternoon qualification was everything fine. Since the mid of qualification Karel began accelerate slowly. At one point, he had 11th time, which he has improved at the finish, but it was enough only to finally fourteenth place. Fighting with the time was very dramatic again , because Karel Abraham was virtually tenths of seconds from the second row on the grid. Still it is the best qualifying result of Karel in this championship.
Karel Abraham said after the qualification:
"It was good in qualification, I am satisfied. Although initially it was not good , but I accelerated. About halfway through the qualification helped me that then I caught the Spaniard Simon and I rode the 11th tim. In conclusion, I repeated that and I finally resulted in 14th place. While initially I was on 15th place, but many riders have curtailed track over curbs and they were punished by deleting the time. So I moved one place ahead, and at the same time I scored the best qualifying result of this season. I want to use it in Sunday's race of course.
