Karel Abraham rode the best race of Moto2 class in Assen, he finished ninth

Twenty year old rider arrived to Assen, with sore of his hand from the previous race in Silverstone, but painful injuries has improved due to medical care during the week. Abaja rode 12th time in qualification and on Saturdays morning warm-up - he was even 4th. Confirmed that he manages in Assen. Last year he finished 7th in 250cc class.

Karel Abraham starts the race of Moto2class from the third row for the first time in this season. The beginning was not the best, but he quickly returned to the group with Pasini, Di Meglio and Takahashi, who were fighting for eighth place. In the 13th round, he overtook Pasini, who did not have enough pace. With Di Meglio and Takahashi, he then approached to the seventh Cluzel. In a thrilling ending, Karel pushed himself before Di Meglio for a while,and he tried to attack Cluzel. Di Meglio, however, did not give up he came before Karel again. In the finish Di Meglio did not make mistakes, and contrary Karel´s attack failed, so he rode with the loss of only eight tenths seconds for the Frenchman ninth. By gain of seven points, the rider had shifted to 22 place.

The Italian Iannone won the race.He had shown his solo ride and he led from start to finish in Mugello and Assen. Spaniard Elias ( leading rider of championship ) finished second and on the third place was Swiss Lüthy.

Karel Abraham said after the race:
"I am satisfied with the result, I finally got to the top ten. But maybe it could be a little better, but I really failed start and then it took a long time to overtook Pasini. Tomizawa and Cluzel rode away at that moment and I've struggled with Di Meglio only for eighth place. In the last lap I took the risk, I went really brutally into the penultimate corner and tried to overtake him. I got in front of him, but I was too fast and I had what to do to keep myself on track. Fortunately my hand did not sore today, but just after returning home I go to the doctor. For the week ahead the Barcelona is waiting for us, where I was last year eighth, and so I would like to build on the good result there as well. "
