Karel Abraham was not satisfied after the first free practice
Karel Abraham will ride the second race with the FTR motorcycle in the British Grand Prix. In Mugello, where he got seventh place in 250cc class two years ago, he expected to have a better outcome, but Friday's free practice was far from his own way. He rode his best time of 1:58,490 in the twentieth lap (from twenty-two laps), which has ranked him to the 29th place. The fastest was Alex De Angelis of San Marino, who started well and was the first rider who got below 1:57 minutes, when he made time to 1:56,422 twenty minutes before the end. This performance has not been overcome, although below 1:57 still rode the Spaniards Gadea and Simon and Italian Iannone..
Karel Abraham said after free practice:
" Above all, I'm not satisfied with my performance. It was not because of motorcycle today. I have to improve in qualification tomorrow. We worked a lot on the motorcycle again today, changing settings and tried the transfers and in the end I accelerated. We have an idea about how to proceed, so maybe it will finally be good. I believe that it would help me even today's meeting with an experienced Spanish pilot Alex Debon that goes well with the FTR, and I want him to tell me some technical details."
