The motorcycle was prepared very well and Karel was alone to keep pace in the first half with the leading rider of championship Elias, who after Friday's punishment was finally able to go to the Brno track. Elias also surpassed as the first 2:05. As the second, who did it, was Karel Abraham, who in the seventh round scored 2:04,927 time. Karel remained in the top ten until the end by this performance. Finally, he ranked the thirteenth with this time, but the differences between the rivals ahead of him are very close to each others.
Karel Abraham said after the second free practice:
"The mechanics did a superior job. I had very well set the bike and the result was the second best time behind Elias. Then we tried to improve the motorcycle a little more, but we went to wrong direction. We get back with the original settings for qualification. We have already prepared a plan of what should be changed. I hope it will work. Our class is very balanced again and the result of qualification will be very important for Sunday´s race.
