Second race of MotoGP season brought some points for Karel Abraham again. The Czech rider finished the race in Austin on the 14th position regardless of the strong pain in the shoulder. Czech rider gained 5 world championship points in two 2014 MotoGP races. This means that he equalizes his 2013 season result and he actually stays on 17th position in the championship.

Karel Abraham takes seventeenth position on the grid in second event of MotoGP season on the circuit in Austin, Texas. He improved his time almost by one second compared to the Friday’s free practices. With a maximum of 2:06,239 Czech rider loses approximately 3.5 seconds to the fastest rider Marc Marquez, who improved track record in qualifying practice.

The Czech rider Karel Abraham remains in the eighteenth position after first day of Grand Prix of Americas in Austin, Texas. The time 2:07,053 means a loss of 3,563 seconds to the fastest Marc Marquez and to the closest rider on the same bike to Hiroshi Aoyama a loss of just 12 thousandths of second.

The best result since the last race of the 2012 MotoGP season. This is the main fact coming from Qatar Grand Prix for Karel Abraham. Cardion AB rider finished on the 13th position and scored three points in the 2014 MotoGP World Championship.

Karel Abraham will start from sixth row to the opening race of the season. The Czech rider improved again his time on Saturday holding sixteenth position with 1:56,715 nearly to the end of the qualifying practice. Unfortunately he lost few seconds more than expected in the last pit stop and lost the chance to make one more lap in the end of QP1. Thus two riders on same bikes Honda RCV1000R, Hiroshi Aoyama and Scott Redding, jump over him.

Karel Abraham holds eighteenth position before Saturday qualifying practice of Grand Prix in Qatar. Although Karel completed team plans to get half a second down from Thursday´s lap time, today´s result wasn´t enough competitive to move up in the standing. Cardion AB team focused more on bike setting than on the final lap time today. This allowed the team to save more soft tyres for Saturday program and this could be Karel´s advantage in the fight for grid position.

Karel Abraham took the sixteenth fastest time in the first opening free practice of the MotoGP season in Qatar. The Czech rider got nearly close to his maximum in pre-season test and he loses to the fastest Aleix Espargaro just 2,578 seconds.

This upcoming weekend will mark the beginning of Karel Abraham’s tenth MotoGP championship season. Under the artificial lighting in Qatar, he will have to deal with the fact that he has had less time to test his new bike than his opponents.

Karel Abraham finishes last pre-season test on thirteenth position with loss of 2,468 seconds to the fastest Aleix Espargaro. The Czech rider is still struggling of shoulder injury, but he managed to move up in field of Open class compared to previous testing session in Malaysia. Abraham loses approximately one second to Nicky Hayden, the fastest rider on the same Honda RCV1000R bike.

During three days of second pre-season test in Malaysia Karel Abraham improved his time by 1,3 seconds in spite of his pain in shoulder. He took twenty-fifth position in total test classification.
