MotoGP season started in Qatar and Karel Abraham had the first opportunity to race on his new Ducati GP 18. Czech rider from Reale Avintia Racing performed well and finished the race only 22 seconds behind the winner Andrea Dovizioso.

"The race was very hard," says Karel Abraham after the last Grand Prix of the season.

"It is incredible how much bad luck we have had this weekend," says Abraham who had to quit the race after technical difficulties.

Ángel Nieto Team rider finishes eleventh and picks up five points on the Ducati GP17.

"I'm angry because we could have scored points in this race," claims Abraham after Motegi.

Abraham finished the race at 17th place.

Czech rider finishes fifteenth after challenging race.

"The only thing I think we could have done better is being in front of Syahrin," says Abraham after the race.

Karel Abraham will be a part of MotoGP family again next season. The contract including specification GP18 bike from Ducati was signed with with Avintia Racing team during the Silverstone Grand Prix weekend. Karel will ride with Tito Rabat as his team mate.

The asphalt condition of the Silverstone circuit has prevented the race from taking place.
