Karel Abraham will be skipping the last race of the MotoGP season. After a consultation with physicians, the Czech rider decided not to put his injured foot under pressure and skip the last race. As in the previous two overseas races, Australian rider Anthony West will be his replacement.

At the advice of his doctors, Karel Abraham will skip the next three MotoGP races. The Czech MotoGP rider is still dealing with the effects of an injury to his foot suffered at this year’s race in Barcelona. According to specialists, another race right now could lead to permanent consequences. They have therefore recommended that Abraham suspend his season and focus on intensive rehabilitation to heal his injury. For the upcoming race in Motegi, Japan, the Honda team recommended test rider Kousuke Akijoshi as a replacement.

Not fully recovered injury of the left foot was again a limiting factor for Karel Abraham during the MotoGP race. Czech rider had to give up a race after seven laps. He was not able to control a bike properly.

Karel Abraham cut two seconds from Friday´s maximum during the qualifying of Grand Prix of Aragon. The time 1:49,761 means for the Czech rider twenty-third position on the grid.

Satisfaction after morning session resulted in a good 22 th position turned out to be a disappointment. Good setting of the bike in the morning did not work very well in the evening session, probably due to high temperature. The limitation is still the not fully recovered foot.

During the thirteenth race of MotoGP, season the weather prepared dramatic show for riders and fans. Riders were forced to change their bike twice during the race. The Czech rider Karel Abraham, which is still fighting with foot injury, he finished the race on twenty-first position. Marc Marquez won the race in front of Bradley Smith and Scott Redding.

The bad luck still follows Karel Abraham, which entered in thirteenth qualifying of MotoGP season in Misano. The Czech rider suffered minor hand injury during the crash on Friday. In combination with still not completely healed foot he did not reach on better result than twenty-fifth place. He will start to Sunday race from eighth row.

Karel Abraham finished nineteenth in British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Rain influenced race had been postponed after the warm up lap, the rain also resulted in slower lap times, so riders spend about twenty percent longer time on the track compared to usual duration of the race.

Despite the strong pain, more than one second improvement compared to Friday. This is the result of qualifying practice of Karel Abraham, which means the twenty-fourth position on the grid during the Grand Prix of Great Britain.
