We bring another important points from America

Second race of MotoGP season brought some points for Karel Abraham again. The Czech rider finished the race in Austin on the 14th position regardless of the strong pain in the shoulder. Czech rider gained 5 world championship points in two 2014 MotoGP races. This means that he equalizes his 2013 season result and he actually stays on 17th position in the championship.

Karel Abraham

„Well, the result is quite satisfying, but the „process” is not. I totally missed the start of the race, because we had no time to practice it during this weekend. Then I was able to get back on my start position, but just before the problems with front tyre started. Briefly I destroyed it within ten laps. Then it lost a grip in right corners. Now we are trying to figure out, what happened. From the half of the race I suffered from the shoulder. Even I got some anesthetics before the race, it hurt a lot and I stayed on the track only because there was a chance to get some points. In the end I really got them, so I´m happy I was able to hold on the bike and see the checkered flag.”

Marco Grana, Cardion AB Motoracing chief mechanic

„This race brought positive result on the one side, but technical problems on the other side. The positive side is the final result. We scored points again. But we suffered serious problems with front tyre, which had been almost destroyed within few laps. Valentino, Scott Redding and Andrea Iannone had the same problem.  Karel started to be scared after ten laps, because the risk of crash was extremely high. From this point of view we must be satisfied with our result. We learnt a lot about the bike this weekend and we scored points consecutively in two races. It´s good start of season especially compared to the 2013 season.“
