We will start from the nineteenth position to race in Motegi

Karel Abraham will start to the MotoGP race in Japan from nineteenth position. Although team managed to fulfill resolution and speed up deep below limit 1:47, however in extremely fast qualifying it was not enough for better place.

Karel Abraham

"The time is not that bad at all, but the position is far from which one i supposed to be. On the other hand, it makes no sense be sad about that. I know that I can fight for good result with riders on Hondas and I can fight also for points. Today, we struggled a lot with breaking. In Motegi, here are still obligatory discs with norm 340mm and especially in the morning I had problem with changing effect. We have replaced all system and it seems that it is fine. However the bike pushes too much on the front and it is difficult to handle it. We will fight tomorrow."

Marco Grana, chief mechanic  Cardion AB Motoracing

"Nineteenth position is not really that position where we should be. We certainly could achieve more. Karel made some mistakes in two turns during the fastest lap in qualifying session. If this didn’t happened we would be able to achieve instead of 1:46,9 maybe 1:46,5. And that is time that would be enough for fifteenth position. We made a lot of work in setting of the front and we managed to diminish loss of adhesion of the rear wheel. The aim for tomorrow is to improve stability of the bike in breaking. I believe that we can still make a good race. We are on the right way with tyres. Today, we made eighteenth laps on tyres, which we want to use during the race, and we handled it without any problem. So we believe that we could make good times constantly during whole race."
